There are so many things I love about photographing weddings. The details and styling aspects are definitely one of them!

Catching the mood. The atmosphere. The time, thought & love that’s been poured into making everything feel beautiful. It’s staring me right in the eyes and calling my name (yes, even the trees if they look pretty in the lighting, or beautifully lit skies).

Every detail helps set the tone of your day. Whether it’s simplistic or bombastic. Soft and intimate or bold and expressive. Whatever suits you and the feeling you want to create.

Super8 baby

It’s that instant hit of nostalgia, filming a wedding on Super8. It’s like watching your parents wedding film on a projector: it’s soft, it’s grainy, it feels so real.

This year I’m so so lucky to be shooting a few more weddings on super8 - I can’t wait! Want me to shoot on film for you too? Please let me know at least 2 months before you get married in advance ❤️

But it’s pricey. Yes it is; the film rolls, getting them developed and digitalised - its quite a lengthy proces, but so worth it. There’s really nothing like shooting analog.

I had a few dreams: going to Scotland in general, going to Isle of Skye, photographing on Isle of Skye, attending an elopement photography workshop on Skye. Well pinch me, because that’s what happened in February.

3 amazing days with a great group of wedding photographers and .photography bringjng it all together. Can’t thank you enough, David!

Also and Matthew being such champions in the icy wind for us, all day. You were amazing!

Pak een moment voor de ceremonie samen om de woorden die jullie privé willen houden naar elkaar uit te spreken. Intiemer wordt het bijna niet…

Ik sta op afstand, met een flinke lens. Zodat jullie even vergeten dat ik er ben maar later precies kunnen terugzien hoe het op dat moment voelde.

Not everyone wants to open their heart in front of a crowd — and the good news is, you don’t have to.

Take a moment together before the ceremony to say the words meant just for each other. It doesn’t get much more intimate than that…

I’ll be at a distance, with a big lens. So you can forget I’m there — but still relive exactly how it felt, later on.

Out Of Office
