I went to Algiers expecting to watch a football match… but what happened became one of the craziest experiences of my life.

From the taxi ride through the capital of Algeria, to being dropped on the motorway surrounded by thousands of chanting fans shouting “We Are the Champions”, the atmosphere before the game was already unbelievable.

The match was completely sold out. Outside the Ali La Pointe Stadium, the crowd was massive, intense and honestly intimidating. Police everywhere, people pushing, smoke, noise, chaos… and I still had no ticket.

Then everything changed.

Some local MC Alger fans noticed I was alone and decided to help me. Somehow, with their help, I managed to enter the stadium and experience what can only be described as football madness.
Even drove me home and refused any money from me ...Unreal

The noise.
The chants.
The flares.
The green smoke.
The passion.

I have travelled to many countries, but I have NEVER experienced football like this before.

And after the match? These same fans drove me 40 minutes home and refused to take any money.

This video is not only about football. It’s about atmosphere, passion, kindness and the incredible hospitality of Algerian people.
