A wonderful day spent exploring the beautiful province of Friesland in the Netherlands yesterday.

As a special bonus, we watched the final races of the Skûtsjesilen 2026 SKS skûtsjesilen in Stavoren followed by the return of these magnificent historic sailing boats into the harbour and welcomed home by the crowds.
A perfect day enjoying the beauty, traditions, and maritime heritage of the Netherlands. ⛵❤️

Tonight, after dinner, we took a bike ride through the Dutch countryside where I was born. Familiar roads, peaceful skies, and beautiful memories.
A different landscape to Australia, but just as close to my heart. 🇳🇱❤️

Results came in today, I am thrilled to score a 80.67% for my outback Australia image ;
"ARBOREAL ECHO"
A fleeting gesture of water traces the desert floor, forming delicate, tree-like veins across the red earth. From above, the land becomes a quiet echo of growth—where rain briefly awakens forms usually reserved for forests, not deserts.
Congratulations to the winners, some amazing aerial images this year !!

There is a quiet magic in seeing the Great Barrier Reef and the Islands in the Whitsundays from above.

For a few moments, the world slows, and all that remains are endless shades of blue, delicate patterns, and a deep sense of wonder.
These are the moments I never take for granted. ❤️💙

After travelling vast distances across Australia’s outback, the muddy waters gently spread across the ancient salt flats, creating intricate patterns that will soon disappear again. From the air, this ever-changing landscape reveals a beauty few have the opportunity to witness—a reminder that even the harshest environments are full of life, movement and renewal.

Exciting news for the Whitsundays!

I’m delighted to have a selection of my aerial photography on display at the newly opened community art gallery in Proserpine.

For a limited time, there are a number of small award winning prints mounted on foam board available for sale exclusively through the gallery. These ready-to-display pieces showcase some of my Australian landscapes captured from above.
