For my daughters, for me, for all the gentle and strong women as a reminder that they are inherently beautiful and valuable, just as they are.

"The White Cloak" is a celebration of femininity, a homage to the gentleness and fortitude of women everywhere. A testament to the fact that each woman, just as she is, is valuable and beautiful. This project shines a beam of hope on women in the Balkans, who in a patriarchal society are deemed lesser for lacking a man by their side. The white dress, once a symbol of nuptial joy, becomes a reminder of the suffocating expectations placed upon women who do not conform. In the Serbian tongue, the words for "woman" and "wife" are one and the same, painting a picture of a woman defined by her marital status. Spinsters, divorcees, and single mothers are stigmatized and ostracized. A woman's worth is reduced to her s*xual conduct and her association with men. Being a woman in such an environment is a heavy burden.
Yet, these women in my photographs, draped in the White Cloak, stand tall, their bravery and strength shining through. They dare to break free from the shackles of patriarchal society, to choose themselves and to fight for their own worth, without the validation of a man. Some are single, some are divorced, some are le***an, some teach the Tao of s*xuality, some are married with or without children, but all choose to live life on their own terms, unapologetically and freely. This is just the beginning of a photography series, and there will be many more brave women to come, who will don the White Cloak with pride.

And I will end this year with this series of photos
WHITE CLOAK. For my daughters, for me, for all gentle and strong women.
White cloak
is a story about women in Serbia (in the Balkans) whose value is diminished if they are without a man.
When the dream of a white dress becomes the pressure of society. When you're unmarried, you're called a granny girl, a divorced divorcee, when she has a child alone, a child call the bastard, when she likes s*x, she's a lecher or a w***e.
In the Serbian language, the word woman and wife is the same word.
When society looks at a woman like this, the role she plays is difficult for the woman.
A white wedding dress becomes a social pressure.
Without a man you are worthless.
That's why I give the women in my photos this white cloak as a strength because they dare to break the chains of patriarchal society and fight for themselves and they're worth it without a man. In my photos, some women dared to stay single, get divorced, be le***ans, be free to do what they wanted, have s*x with whoever they wanted and not to count the number of men they slept with, to hold workshops about the tao of s*xuality and to be married and have no children but also to be married and have children but build an equal relationship with their partners.
This is a photography series that is just beginning its life, I will find thousands of brave women in the future.
