Fuglen in Seoul Part II 🇰🇷
A few photos of guests and a few of our teams from Oslo, Tokyo, and Seoul working together. These scenes were mostly captured in the mornings following the official opening, when the lines hadn’t had a chance to form and the baristas were just gearing up for the day. Ironically, my first experience with Fuglen internationally was the opening of . Even though we have 6 coffee bars in Japan, my first time meeting several of my international colleagues was as we gathered together in Seoul to collaborate on the opening with training, set up, and so much more. I decided to capture most of these scenes inside with my trusty old black and white film. Thank you to everyone who hosted and welcomed us in Seoul and welcome to the family!

Fuglen in Seoul Part I 🇰🇷
I had the privilege of traveling to Seoul back in October for the opening of and I knew I wanted to capture a few special photos using my medium format Mamiya C220. As expected for Fuglen, the coffee bar was beautifully designed and I spent a lot of time observing the new customers as they enjoyed this space. But there was also something special about my walk to the coffee bar through the popular university district of Hongdae early in the mornings. I used Kodak Gold 200 color film which complimented the warm brown tones of the natural wood and vintage interiors as well as capture the community that surrounds it.

I heard that Fendika recently had its last show before being demolished. I was fortunate to have enjoy many amazing nights at Fendika. I hope that its memory will carry on and its rebuild will capture the same atmosphere, character and life as original. Much love to and everyone that made the magical place that it was. And here’s to hoping that it will be a place once again for future generations to enjoy and cherish.
