This Northern Hawk Owl was sitting on the flag pole right outside my house one morning🤩 It sat there for a couple of hours before it flew over to a nearby tree. It stayed in the trees just outside the house all day, probably scouting for mice, before it disappeared and haven't seen it since 🦉🌲📷

Grunningsdalen in Seljord. With its surrounding mountains, river and tall trees you get a real feel of the wilderness even tough it's not that remote. A great place to go camping aswell! 🏞️🏕️📷

One of my favourite birds, the atlantic puffin going in for landing at Sumburgh Head on the Shetland Islands. This was the first place I visited when I was there and I had just gotten my new super zoom lens. I will admit, it took a few bursts before I captured this. Will definately come back here! An amazing place with wildlife all around you everywhere you go🐦🐳🗾📷

Went camping at Langen lake in Landsmarka, Lunde earlier this month and was lucky enough to witness this. It started off pretty nice, but as the sun set lower behind the horizon the clouds parted at exactly the right moment revealing this beautiful view. Not a bad way to spend the evening!

The Ring of Brodgar is a Neolithic stone circle on the Islands of Orkney, Scotland. It lies on a small elevation between the Lochs of Stenness and Harray on the Mainland. It is thought to have been erected 4000-4500 years ago. The ring originally comprised up to 60 stones, of which 27 remain standing today. The stones in the photo are about 3-4 meters high.

A composite image of last weeks Lyrid Meteor Shower on april 22nd. This is the first time I've taken a photo like this so I'm quite happy with the result. I set my intervalometer to shoot one frame every 25 seconds for about an hour. Had I gotten out a bit earlier in the night I could've shot for another hour, but practice makes perfect, right? There's another prominent shower in December which peaks exactly on the new moon on the 14th so I'll be ready then for another go. Fingers crossed for a clear sky!

Found this little stream in Hanakamjuvet in Seljord. It's always a bit tricky setting up the tripod for these kind of photos amidst the water, branches etc. Wear your boots! I took the photo in October of last year.

On the occasion of St Patrick's Day I will of course post a photo from Ireland☘️ This is Lough Tay in County Wicklow. It's also called Guinness Lake, and you can see why with its black water and foamy white beach at the top. So, get yourself a pint of Guinness and have a great St patrick's day celebration, either at home or down the pub (if you're allowed)🍻🇮🇪

I visited this place in april of 2014. The castle is Kilchurn Castle in Scotland and was built in the mid 15th century by the Campbell Clan. It's perfectly nestled between the highland mountains on the banks of Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿📷

(March 3rd) Today is World Wildlife Day. The perfect occasion to post my first picture in a while. This is a photo I took last month near where I live. It was a herd of six deer standing in the middle of a field just by the road. They were so peaceful and didn't even get up when I approached them. I had to step on some branches to get their attention which made the photo a bit more interesting.

After heavy rain last month the mountains created their own waterfalls. After a small climb I got up close and set up the tripod. The weather was pretty good as I was going for a moody and mystical image. I don't have a lot of experience with long exposure shots, but I think I got a nice photo in the end.
