It’s been one year exactly since I was filled with the warmth and inspiring people of Hue, Vietnam. 🇻🇳
Now, I’m sitting at home with a crushed elbow, unable to lift a thing, much less my camera 😅 (ice skating accident!) This makes a perfect time for sharing all the stories of the wonderful people I was lucky to meet.
Ms. Cuc was nothing but sweet smiles when I met her with the team. Even though she works long days, pushing her cart at least 3 km on gravel roads, selling tofu and tea at the market, she was full of joy to see us and took the time to chat.
Photo 4: Ms. Cuc sits inside her home holding two chickens she raised with help from the chicken coop program at H4H. Behind her cooks the tofu which she uses to sell a delicious dessert - a hot and fragrant tofu mixed with sweet ginger, coconut and panda leaf tea poured over top.
As the snow falls here in Stavanger, Norway, I’m thinking of Ms. Cuc, her strength, resilience, smile and I hope she is having a fruitful and easier day at the market in Hue. ❣️💛❣️
