Danphe (Himalayan Monal)
The magnificent Danphe, or the Himalayan Monal, is the national bird of Nepal. The adult male Danphe is significantly conspicuous in its striking multi-colored plumage, and its long, metallic-green crest with changeable reddish copper feathers on the back and sides of its neck. The female pheasants are comparatively less flamboyant in color but still as attractive with their mottled brownish-black feathers. If you're planning to visit Nepal, be sure to carry your cameras along because you never know when you could catch a glimpse of this exotic bird of the Himalayas.

➡️The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is a landlocked country in southern Asia.
