Creating a fashion campaign in the Himalayas takes much more than arriving with a camera and beautiful clothes. There are locations, planning, production, people, challenges and countless decisions that all have to come together before the final image ever exists.

Himalayan Fashion Adventure is more than a fashion photography book. It is a look behind the frames and into what it takes to make a campaign happen in some of the most demanding landscapes.

Created for fashion designers, photographers, students and professionals who want to understand what happens beyond the final image.

A local fashion campaign, produced with the standards and discipline we bring to productions from around the world.

Over the years, I have met people who taught me things without ever calling them lessons. The Tharus of the plains, families in the high Himalayas, Newars of Kathmandu, and many others have shown me that sustainability does not always need a name. Sometimes it is simply the way you live. Use what you have. Waste little. Repair. Reuse. Adapt. Save. Protect. Pass the knowledge on.

We speak about climate change through numbers, maps and predictions, but there is another kind of knowledge carried through people, places, practices and memories. What happens when that knowledge disappears along with the landscapes that shaped it?

How will we explain a glacier to a generation that has never seen one? How will we explain a way of life to someone who has only read about it?

This is why I believe we must document not only what is changing, but what we may otherwise forget.

Visual knowledge is knowledge too.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to places where water shapes life. Through my journeys across Nepal and the Himalayas, I have seen how everything is connected. We already know the Himalayans give birth to countless rivers, but we often forget how deeply those waters connect every life they touch.

Across Nepal, India, Bhutan, and the wider Hindu Kush Himalaya region, entire cultures, communities, farms, forests, and ecosystems have grown around this delicate balance. Yet that balance is changing before our eyes. If this continues, what will future generations inherit? More importantly, how will they truly understand what was once here?

At Until We Act, we are creating a long term visual archive of our changing planet. Scientists will always need data. Communities will always need knowledge. But future generations will also need to see what once existed. They will need high resolution and ultra high resolution photographs, cinematic moving images, and visual records created with the care and permanence they deserve. Images that become evidence, memory, education, and perhaps even hope. Images people will return to, not only to study the past, but to experience it. Because sometimes a single image can remind us what an entire report cannot.

There are places that ask for nothing in return except that you slow down for a moment. The mountains have their own rhythm. The forests have their own silence. Villages wake with the first light and evenings disappear into colours that never quite look the same twice. Perhaps that's why so many people fall in love with Nepal. Not because it tries to impress anyone, but because it never has to.
For filmmakers and photographers, that same feeling becomes an endless canvas. Every journey reveals another landscape, another face, another untold story. Remote yet accessible. Timeless yet constantly changing. Whether it is a feature film, documentary, television series, commercial campaign, fashion editorial, or photographic expedition, Nepal has a remarkable way of becoming whatever the story needs it to be.
For more than two decades, I've been fortunate to help productions discover these places and the people behind them. Every project is different. Every story deserves its own journey. If Nepal ever becomes part of yours, we'd be delighted to help bring it to life.

Away from the noise, some ideas need silence.

In silence, I find peace.

Silence is the tonic for imagination. And that's where the next visuals are born.

Playing in the water. Moving through the shallow edges. Finding curiosity in a place that many of us would simply pass by.
Laughing together without worrying about the time. This is what childhood still looks like here.
Only later did I begin to appreciate how much these quiet places really mean.
They feed families. They shelter wildlife. They hold water when the rains come. They become playgrounds, classrooms and livelihoods all at once.
As our climate continues to change, these ordinary landscapes are becoming more important than ever.
Conservation isn't only about protecting nature.
Sometimes it's about protecting the places where childhood and nature still grow together.
