Fireworks at Niagara!

Went for a day trip to Toronto - the morning actually started with a tornado alert, but once things settled down we headed out. With limited time, we made the CN Tower our main stop, passing loads of Blue Jays fans walking out after the game at Rogers Centre.

The CN Tower / Tour CN stands 553 metres tall, has 147 floors, and the elevator shoots up in about 58 seconds and the views from the top were spectacular, the whole city stretching out to Lake Ontario. You can even see Billy Bishop Airport right below, with planes taking off over the water. A short trip, but such a good one.

Journey Behind the Falls was something else - standing 13 storeys below the surface, right behind a wall of water dropping over 50 metres, you really feel the power of Niagara. The tunnels were carved over a century ago, and you can hear the river rumbling through the rock.

Then we took the Maid of the Mist, getting right into the spray of the Horseshoe Falls… a unique and breathtaking experience from start to finish.

Cruising through the Niagara tourist strip where everything is loud, bright, and a little chaotic, and this blue Mustang fits right in. Neon signs, haunted castles, mazes, diners - the whole street feels like a movie set. Just one of those places where you slow down, take it in, and enjoy the randomness of the moment.

Our first time at Niagara Falls, and it’s impossible not to be amazed. There are three falls here - the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the mighty Horseshoe Falls. And it’s the Horseshoe that truly steals the show. Standing there, watching over 2,000 cubic meters of water crash down every second, you feel the power of nature in a way photos can’t capture.

My daughter stood quietly, taking it all in from a distance, and that moment made the view even more special. Sometimes the best part of a trip is seeing the world through her eyes. Grateful for these experiences and the chance to witness them together. Alhamdulilah!

Being at the parade yesterday was something truly special. The whole experience felt so wholesome - London was completely red. I was singing every chant with everyone around me, lost my voice, and ended the day absolutely shattered. Even ended up getting ill after, but it was all worth it. Celebrating it all with some amazing lads made the day even better. Moments like this don’t come around often, and I feel lucky I got to be part of it. Hopefully this long wait is just the beginning of a special journey for us.
