There was a time the world couldn't imagine us apart.
We were inseparable, pages from the same story.
But life stretched us across different timelines and priorities.
I don't know how you're doing anymore. And maybe that's what hurts most.
We thought we wouldn't survive a day without each other but we did. We learned how to go on.
To me, you'll always be the same kid I knew then. You may not realise it, but I still hold close the piece of yourself you left in me.
I still root for you, you know? Seeing you win genuinely makes me happy, even if I'm not around to tell you that anymore.
I wish I could be there on your tough days too not just the ones you post, but the ones that keep you up at night.
I used to be your diary, and not one of the many watching your stories.
I miss being that person for you. I miss us.
