After many beautiful years behind the camera, this chapter of Elia Making Memories has come to an end.

What started as a dream grew into something far greater than I could have ever imagined. I had the honour of photographing the tiniest newborns, glowing mamas, growing families, and so many once-in-a-lifetime moments. Watching your families grow, seeing babies return as toddlers and big siblings… those are the memories I will carry with me forever.

Thank you for trusting me with your most precious seasons of life. Thank you for welcoming me into your stories, your homes, your cultures, and your celebrations. Every image we created together holds a piece of my heart.

While this chapter is closing here in New Zealand, the love I have for this work and the families I photographed will never fade.

To every family who stepped in front of my lens, THANK YOU for allowing me to turn your moments into memories.

This isn’t goodbye forever… just the end of this chapter.

As of the 15th of March, we are no longer operating as we have relocated overseas. If you’re a past client and need to contact us regarding an urgent matter, please email [email protected] and we’ll respond as soon as possible.

I recommend all my clients to reach out to Siobhan Kelly Photography for any future sessions. Her style is similar to mine and she will take a good care of you ❤️

P.S. All the existing sessions & videos will be send out by the end of the week still, no worries! ❤

Eva

Before the tiny fingers wrap around theirs.
Before the sleepless nights and the soft newborn breaths.
Before their hearts learn a completely new way to love.

There is this moment.

A quiet chapter where a mother carries not just a baby… but a whole future within her.

The gentle curve of her belly.
The anticipation in their smiles.
The silent conversations between a mother and the little life growing inside her.

Maternity photos are not just about documenting pregnancy.
They are about remembering the feeling of waiting for someone you have never met… yet already love with your entire heart. 🤍

Eva

Baby Jayda, 4 weeks new ❤

No one in the room knew it…
but this baby would be the last newborn I photographed before closing my studio in New Zealand

The final tiny yawn.
The final squishy pose.
The final moment of creating magic with a brand new life.

After years of photographing newborns, you would think the moments blur together.

They don’t.

Every baby leaves a little imprint on your heart… and this one will always mark the end of something incredibly special.

The last baby of this chapter.
But not the end of the story.

Because my journey doesn’t finish here, it’s simply moving across the world. If the stars align, soon, I’ll be starting again in Canada, holding tiny humans, capturing new beginnings, and creating memories for families all over again. ❤

A new country, but the same love for photographing the very beginning of life.

Thank you for every single one of my clients who trusted me with their little humans through the years.

Love,
Eva

Her arms are already full.
Yet somehow, her heart keeps stretching.

Three children leaning into her warmth.
One more life blooming gently beneath her hands.

There is a softness to this chapter
a sacred pause before the world shifts again.

The way the siblings rest their heads against her belly.
The way dad’s hands wrap around all of them at once.
The quiet understanding that love does not divide… it multiplies.

Soon there will be another cry in the night,
another tiny weight against her chest.

But today, we romanticise the waiting. ❤
Thank you for trusting me to capture these memories for you.

Love,
Eva

I met them when they were brand new parents, holding their first baby in that fragile, sleepless, love-filled stage. She was only 4 weeks old.

Now they’re back. A family of four. A little boy at 3 months. And that same baby girl, now a big sister, with a whole new kind of confidence in her eyes.

Being invited back into someone’s life like this is never “just a booking” to me. It’s a privilege. Thank you for choosing me again.

Love,
Eva

This reel is such a perfect peek behind the scenes of how I work You can literally hear me directing, adjusting, fine-tuning… and then at the end, me absolutely losing it with a big “YES YES YES, STUNNING!” Because when it clicks, it really clicks.

Posing isn’t about forcing someone into a copy-paste shape. It’s about adapting, to your body, your features, your movement, and even to what the wind, light, and waves are doing in that exact moment. At the beach especially, everything is alive: the breeze in your hair, the way you shift your weight, how the light wraps around you. My job is to watch all of that and gently guide you into poses that feel natural and look incredible.

Sometimes it’s just a tiny change, turn the shoulder a bit, drop the chin, soften the hands, shift the hips and suddenly the whole image transforms. We build the pose together, step by step, until it flatters you and tells your story in the most beautiful way.

And honestly? The worst that can happen is either you’ll be slightly embarrassed because I’m yelling “YES YES YES!” across the beach… or you’ll get a little bit wet from the water Either way, we’ll laugh, keep going, and create something stunning.

You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job. Your only job is to show up, trust the process, and let me hype you up when we nail it

Eva

The full-circle story ✨

From photographing her mama’s baby bump… to her tiny newborn days… and now this 🥹
Six-month-old Kyla walked into my studio with the most incredible pudding rolls and the squishiest little cheeks, and I honestly couldn’t stop smiling the whole session.

This is why I love what I do. Getting to watch families grow. Getting to document chapters, not just moments.
One day she was a bump, then a tiny newborn, and now she’s a giggly, squishy, curious little human with rolls for days and personality to match.

These are the kinds of photos that become family treasures. The ones you look back on and say, “Remember when she was this small?” 💛

Want photos like these? Let me know 😍

One year ago, you held them and wondered who they would become.
You counted fingers. You memorised their smell. You told yourself to remember this… even though you knew time wouldn’t listen.

And suddenly, here you are.

A baby who isn’t quite a baby anymore.
Tiny hands that now reach with intention.
A personality that’s no longer a mystery, but a presence.

First birthdays aren’t really about cake or candles.
They’re about pausing, just for a moment, and honouring everything this year has been.
The sleepless nights. The growth. The tears. The pride.
The quiet moments no one else saw.

One day, these photos won’t just show what they looked like.
They’ll remind you of the season when your heart grew in ways you never expected 🤍

Just love all the expressions little KJ gave me 🥺🥺

Even with experience, some babies ask us to slow down.

This session needed more pauses, more observing, more gentle adjustments.
Not because anything was wrong, but because this baby needed it.

Newborn photography isn’t about repeating a pose from memory.
It’s about reading the baby in front of you and responding in real time.

I stop.
I adjust.
I wait.

Because knowledge matters, but awareness matters more.
And the safest, most beautiful images are created when we work with the baby, not against them.

This is best I can promise you, a safe and comfortable posing session for your baby, and beautiful memories to take home.

Love,
Eva

You don’t just hand me your baby and hope for the best.
You’re looked after too. ❤

From the moment you walk into my studio, you can breathe.
There’s no rushing, no pressure, no expectations to “perform”.

I guide every step, when to feed, when to cuddle, when to simply sit back and rest.
If your baby needs extra time, we take it.
If they need comfort, they get it.
If you need a moment, that matters just as much.

Sessions are slow on purpose.
Warm, calm, safe.
Nappies, feeds, cuddles, pauses, all part of the process.

You don’t need to know how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how your baby “should” behave. That’s my job, to take care of you.

Your only job?
Show up. Love your baby. Let me take care of the rest 🤍

Love,
Eva

February due dates feel far… until suddenly they’re not 🤍

Newborn days don’t wait, and there’s such a small window where everything slows just enough to capture them exactly as they are. 🥺

My cosy studio is stocked with everything we need for your session, from nappies, baby outfits, props, accessories and wardrobe for mama ❤

Baby George, 8 days new ❤
