Took my Grandson "Kieran the fearless" for a spin out to Hunua Falls.
He loved every minute of it as did I. The smells you get when being in the bush just can't be beat. Recharged my batteries 💪
Had a nice cruise with you Kieran, you are a good pillion rider with many whoo hoos coming out from your helmet.😂😂

Awesome day out to Raglan and back with loads of gravel roads riding the ridge lines in the hills. Hot, humid but flowy roads albeit constant cornering this way and that.
The arthritis in my fingers let me know I am still alive.....sadly becoming a problem.

Karioitahi and Muriwai beaches have had these signs in place for around 2-3 months. Now, these are some of my favourite playgrounds.
I have tackled Auckland Council on the issue due to these beaches being classed as public road so you cannot deny access. In addition they allow 4x4's but their own wording says "vehicle" therefor a 2 wheeled "vehicle" is also allowed.
As for the threat of "up to $20,000 fine" is pie in the sky as for starters they have no jurisdiction over you personally as there is no record of consent.
My law training is paying off😎
After 3 weeks of dialogue these "no motorbikes" are now removed.
The usual free permits are still required (free online).

Rotorua trip. The off-road excursion for Saturday. 234kms dirt loop along all the lakes and then hills and valleys and potentially a few streams.

Leaving home 6am Saturday with the 255kms to Rotorua plus above so going to be a good long day and then stay motel.

Sunday the long way home.
