Little me would’ve never imagined a camera would take me here.

I didn’t travel to Paris for this shoot. I was already here on holiday and attending a family wedding when the opportunity came up to create something with another couple who happened to be visiting too.

Sometimes the best moments aren’t planned months in advance - they happen because you say yes.

Standing beneath the Eiffel Tower, camera in hand, I couldn’t help but think about how every couple who’s trusted me back home has played a part in getting me here.

Whether it’s NZ or the other side of the world, I’m reminded that photography has given me more than a career. It’s given me experiences I’ll carry forever.

Here’s to saying yes to the unexpected 🫶🏻💜

Up on a hill, overlooking the land below,
they stood before their village,
the people who have walked beside them,
loved them, and shaped their story.

There, they said I do,
promising that through the good and the hard,
they would choose each other,
again and again.

Not just becoming one as husband and wife,
but one family.
Building a home rooted in love,
strength, and unwavering commitment.

After every battle life had placed before them,
this day became a celebration.
A reminder that love isn’t measured by the absence of hardship,
but by choosing each other through it all.

From school days to youth & church,
to watching you become a mother
and now a wife has been nothing short of a blessing.

Surrounded by your village as you got ready,
love filled every corner of the room.
And when you turned around
and your daughter called you a princess,
there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

From your mother placing your hand in your prince’s, welcoming this new chapter with open arms

The way you looked at each other,
like the world had quietened just for you.
The way you make each other laugh so effortlessly,
celebrating one another through dances and speeches,
never once leaving the other’s side.

It wasn’t just seen

Why do a engagement shoot? Perfect to use for wedding invitations & also to get how it might feel to be in front of a camera on your wedding day! A lot of us have never done a photoshoot before & being in front of the camera can be intimidating for some of us (even myself!) it’s a great way to get a bit more comfortable & also you just got engaged! Remember the moments before you say ‘I do’ and after the ‘yes’ 💍
