I have know Becca for a few years now, my wife, Sarah has been her climbing coach since she was four years old. I recently helped her with a video to raise awareness and promote a fundraising event for a charity that changed her life.

Kenzies Gift provided Becca with psychotherapist to help her adjust while her Mum fought a very aggressive form of leukaemia. Becca can tell the rest in the video below.

The Leadfoot Festival is a truly unique New Zealand event. Competitors and motorsport legends from all over the world attend this event and bring with them a mix of modern, classic and vintage race cars. The format is simple, who can get the fastest time to the top of Rod Millen's driveway. The thing is, this is no ordinary driveway. It's a purpose built 1.6km hill climb track that is located in the heart of the Coromandel.

Having worked as a race car mechanic in Formula 1 in the UK and really starting my photography career shooting motosport in NZ this was my first motorsport event in many years. I can't say I missed the noise, fumes and dust but I relished the opportunity to see what I could produce. Slow pans that capture the motion, detailed shots of the old school engineering and the characters that make events like this so special.

Where the wild things live.

It's amazing what you find when you step off the beaten track. Hidden away in the depths of Heron Park in Waterview, I discovered these amazing forts. Armed with my medium format camera I set about documenting one of the wonderful things the lockdown created. Kids enjoying the outdoors.

Most of these were taken once the sun had set, using a longer shutter speed I found the quality of light to be more appealing.

The commercial part of me would love to have some wild kids running around the frame but my quiet side of me just enjoyed the process.
