USAF s/n 59-1506 [Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker] seen departing Auckland Airport bound for Honolulu.

Currently operated by the Iowa ANG, its exact reason for arriving here is not known to me.

Was good meeting new people, and seeing some familiar faces today!

Coachways #101 [Scania K280UB/Kiwi Bus Builders] seen in Newmarket on a school run.

New to Johnston's Coachlines (TR Group, t/a Airbus Express) as #107, it was leased to Kinetic Group as part of their Skybus ops.

With the cessation of Skybus NZ Ltd, the Scanias returned to the lessor (TR Group) for on-sale.

Some ended up with Kinetic, and the remainder went to Bentley Coachlines.

In 2026, Bentley 501, 502, 505, and 506 were all sold to Coachways.

Brougham's #25 [MAN 16.230/Fairfax] seen on Quay St recently.

New to Stagecoach Auckland as #826, it passed to NZ Bus (t/a Metrolink), it was later sold to Brougham's in 2021.

Nau mai haere mai ki Maungawhau!

I had the distinct pleasure of attending the first look event at Maungawhau Station this past Saturday (08/08/2026).

Although only platforms 3 and 4 were open to the public, the look around was no less interesting.

The CRL opens on the 13th of September, much to the excitement of myself and just about every Aucklander.

Formerly assigned to Wellington duties. It was transferred here and repainted into the Tangaroa livery. It is currently covering NX2 runs.
