This week the cars will line up again, the grandstands will fill with passionate fans, and Texas Motorplex will echo with the sound of engines, tyre smoke, and the unmistakable buzz of people who love it all as much as I do. 🏎️⚡️

I’m a little sad not to be there behind the lens this year capturing every moment, so I wanted to share a few memories from last year as we lead into this year’s event. 🏁

A few things I’ll miss most about TX2K:

• Watching drivers react to the lights on the drag tree with reaction times that almost don’t seem human. Blink and you miss it.

• Some of the most welcoming, friendly and genuinely passionate people I’ve ever met.

• Witnessing drivers in those quiet moments inside the helmet before the chaos begins.

• The burnouts before each launch, smoke pouring off the tyres as the whole strip comes alive.

• The builds, the engineering, the power, the sheer speed. At TX2K the sky truly is the limit for what people imagine and create.

• Seeing the grandstands roaring with thousands of passionate fans cheering on every driver and every car. The energy is incomparable to anything I’ve ever experienced, something you truly have to feel in person at least once in your lifetime.

• The teams and the camaraderie. Every single run means something. You can see how much goes into these builds and making these passes happen, and you can feel how much it matters to everyone involved.

• And most of all… and her iconic Audi TT RS with her unforgettable BYEBOYS plates.
One of the kindest and most inspiring drivers I’ve ever met, and someone who truly embodies the spirit of racing. Becca continues to inspire me to this day and is someone I’m so incredibly grateful to have crossed paths with, and someone I’m missing a little extra this year! 🏆💌

But above all, I’ll miss the people. The kindness, the warmth, the conversations with complete strangers who instantly feel like friends because you share the same passion.

TX2K holds a special place in my heart. 🏎️⚡️

Wishing everyone an incredible time at TX2K26 this year. I’ll be cheering you all on from afar, and hopefully I’ll be back again soon. ✈️🌍

Some days quietly stay with you. 🏁

Capturing Misha Charoudin testing GT driver Allan Sargeant’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO II with Race Lab at Hampton Downs was one of them. 🏎️⚡️
Misha’s video from the day is now live on his YouTube channel and these frames are a just few of the best moments from behind the lens.

Slide 18 might be my favourite.

Always grateful for opportunities like this, thank you for having me Misha & RaceLab.

Today was one for the books for the Burns Drift team at Round 3 of the D1NZ Championship, hosted at Pukekohe Park Raceway.

Jonny had the whole team in tears as he battled his way into third place, securing his very first podium in the Pro-Sport Championship. 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder. What an incredibly special weekend for this team.

Massive congratulations to Jonny and the crew working tirelessly behind the scenes. You’re living proof that hard work and dedication pay off, and this is only the beginning. We can’t wait to see what’s next. Now it’s straight back to the workshop to prep the S14.9 for tomorrow’s Drift GP, with FD driver Ryan Litteral behind the wheel.

What a way to farewell Pukekohe Park. 🏁

An unforgettable day being invited out to Hampton Downs to meet and capture content as the talented Misha Charoudin got behind the wheel of Allan Sargeant’s Toyota Supra GT4 EVO II, run by the team at Race Lab. Classic New Zealand Summer provided Misha with both the heat and the rain, but the way he adapted to the conditions was unreal to witness trackside. Massive thank you to to everyone who made today happen and to Misha and the RaceLab crew for having me along. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. Can’t wait to share the full gallery, this one’s special. 🏁🏎️⚡️

Friday made for an incredibly successful day for Round 3 of the D1NZ Championship being hosted at Pukekohe Park Raceway. 🏁

With what began as a tireless and somewhat stressful morning for the Burns Drift team, quickly grew into a rewarding and exciting experience as a whole.
Despite the wet, muggy conditions and the slight mechanical hiccups that kept the team up overnight, Jonny stayed positive and drove the wheels off of his S14.9 as he drifted to third position in the Pro-Sport Qualifying round! 🏎

Proud is an absolute understatement.

We're looking forward to getting back into things later today with Pro-Sport Top 16 Battles to follow two rounds of testing.

Again, if you're looking for something thrilling to do this Valentine’s weekend, secure your tickets and join us for an unforgettable, adrenaline charged experience as we say a final farewell to the track, using a portion of the original 2.91km circuit to pay tribute to two decades of D1NZ history here. 🏆

Pack in day and track testing are well underway with drivers and teams preparing for an action packed weekend ahead in Round 3 of the D1NZ Championship being hosted at Pukekohe Park Raceway.

Long-regarded as one of the most iconic venues in global drifting, Pukekohe Park’s high-speed Turn 1 is considered the world’s fastest competition drift corner with drivers entering at speeds up to 213km.

This weekend will mark a final farewell to the track, using a portion of the original 2.91km circuit to pay tribute to two decades of D1NZ history here.

So if you're looking for something thrilling to do this Valentine’s weekend, secure your tickets and join us for an unforgettable, adrenaline charged experience. 🏎⚡🏆

The Countdown to TX2K26 🏎️⚡️ 36 days to go! 🏁

As the first post in a series of highlights to come as we countdown to TX2K 2026, posting one of the 1320Video.com crew felt only right. It was them who gave me some of the best advice I’ve ever received during last years event: “Don’t forget to stop and smell the tyres. Step out from behind the lens and take it all in every now and again, those are the moments you’ll remember most.”
Standing trackside at TX2K last year as media, surrounded by people from all over the world, attempting to comprehend witnessing cars hit speeds I’d never seen in my lifetime, I felt completely at home. The 1320 team, along with the wider media crew, made that experience unforgettable.
Their work, their presence at nearly every major drag event imaginable, and the way they connect with the automotive community has inspired me endlessly.
This year, while I’m watching from little old New Zealand 🇳🇿, it’ll be their YouTube channel keeping me close to the action and helping me live vicariously through TX2K.
Having the privilege to work within their presence played a huge role in pushing me outside my comfort zone, reminding me that motorsport is built on people, conversations, and connections just as much as it is on cars and speed.
Here’s to the media, the storytellers, and the people behind the scenes who make it all possible.Plenty more highlights to come as we count down to TX2K26, and plenty of motivation to keep working hard so I can get back again in the years to come. 🖤
