💚 You don’t need to drive for hours to enjoy incredible scenery. These four short hikes around Auckland offer coastal views, waterfalls, native bush and peaceful beaches, making them perfect for a weekend adventure.

🌿 Puweto Loop, Waitawa Regional Park

This 4 km loop takes around 1.5 to 2 hours and offers rolling farmland, native bush and stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf. It’s an easy to moderate walk that’s perfect for beginners and photographers. After your hike, stop by The Farm House Café in Clevedon for a well deserved coffee.

💦 Karamatura Falls, Waitākere Ranges

This 4 km return hike takes around 1.5 to 2 hours through beautiful native forest before reaching a hidden waterfall and swimming hole. Expect wooden bridges, lush bush and a rewarding waterfall at the end. Finish your adventure with coffee from Little Sister Café in Huia.

🏖 Pohutukawa Bay Beach

This easy 1 Hour return walk leads to one of East Auckland’s hidden beaches with calm waters, native pōhutukawa trees and peaceful coastal views. It’s a great spot for a picnic, a swim or simply relaxing by the sea. Afterwards, grab a coffee at Maraetai Café.

🌊 Duder Regional Park Loop

This 3.8 km loop takes around 1.5 hours and features grassy hills, coastal cliffs, grazing sheep and panoramic views across the Hauraki Gulf. It’s one of Auckland’s best coastal walks, especially during sunrise and sunset. On your way back, enjoy coffee and brunch at The Farm House Café in Clevedon.
