Part of the "quaint-ness" I love about New Zealand is the fact that there are parts of the country that almost make you feel like you're going back in time. Rush hour on the East Coast is just one of those places! Explore more images from my upcoming photo book project in the gallery.

NZ Photobook NEW image release...
As we bid farewell to Summer, I think it's time to reflect on the memories that will stay with us. For me, this is one such memory, manifested into an image from a great trip a few years ago. Nothing says Summer in NZ like beach towels hanging out to dry while you camp at the beach...

Summer at the beach on the West Coast of New Zealand summed up in one quintessential image. See more in the 2024 NZ photo book gallery.

The geological history of New Zealand is fascinating. Sure we all get to marvel at the mountains and lakes, but what lies below is equally interesting. Caves and chasms are awesome places to walk through, and this one in the Wairarapa is a great example!

Oddly, this image has always been well received. Its such a simple image, not very technical and shot quickly, but the subject matter and colours really do please those who view it...

This tiny country church is one from the archives. Without knowing it I have been shooting remote church buildings for a number of years, and this is one of my favourites. Located South of Auckland on the Awhitu peninsula in rural New Zealand. I remember taking this shot as I was on a bit of a photo...

NZ Photobook NEW image release...
This image might look a little familiar if you were an old windows user, but look closely and you'll see its not what you think it is. NZ has its own "Bliss" and I stumbled upon it in a remote part of Central Otago late last year.

I'm going to call this one New Zealand's own "Central Otago Bliss", just because... ya know.... looks like something I saw once on an old computer once. I was really looking for an image on the other side of this stretch of dirt track, because there were a few cows I was trying to get the attention....

The holiday season was a great chance to reflect on life, the universe and everything in between, and the one revelation I came to (well - the one I will admit to) was that in my looooong career as a photographer, I have never considered the idea of publishing a New Zealand photo book! I make images...
