The geological history of New Zealand is fascinating. Sure we all get to marvel at the mountains and lakes, but what lies below is equally interesting. Caves and chasms are awesome places to walk through, and this one in the Wairarapa is a great example!

This tiny country church is one from the archives. Without knowing it I have been shooting remote church buildings for a number of years, and this is one of my favourites. This image might look a little familiar if you were an old windows user, but look closely and you'll see its not what you think it is. NZ has its own "Bliss" and I stumbled upon it in a remote part of Central Otago late last year.

I'm going to call this one New Zealand's own "Central Otago Bliss", just because... ya know.... looks like something I saw once on an old computer once. I was really looking for an image on the other side of this stretch of dirt track, because there were a few cows I was trying to get the attention....

If you have been following me for a while, you might have seen this image of an abandoned plane in the bush before. I discovered this old Bristol freighter many years ago while out on a photowalk in rural South Auckland.
