MiYOSMART iQ delivers effective control of myopia progression across a wide age range in children, starting as young as 4 years of age.

MiYOSMART iQ is HOYA’s first spectacle lens reported to be effective, as a monotherapy, in a randomised controlled clinical trial for early-onset myopes aged 4–6 years, as well as children aged 7–12 years. (1–3)

Women in Optics 💜| O-Show 2026

This was an important initiative hosted by ODMA to inspire, elevate and empower women across the optical industry.

Bringing together female practice owners, managers and industry leaders, the afternoon created a space for honest conversations, shared experiences and practical insights around some of the issues that matter most to women in leadership; from leading successful practices and teams, to burnout, resilience, work-life balance, workplace culture and the very real toll that our careers can have on our physical and mental wellbeing.

Because leadership isn’t just about what we achieve. It’s also about how we sustain ourselves while getting there.

The conversations around work-life blending, resilience and support structures were particularly important reminders that success shouldn’t come at the expense of our health. Creating sustainable careers means recognising when we need to pause, setting boundaries, building strong support networks and creating workplaces where people can thrive, not simply perform.

A huge thank you to the incredible speakers, facilitators and panel members who shared their expertise, experiences and perspectives so openly. Your insights helped create a meaningful conversation around what it really means to lead, grow and succeed in today’s optical industry.

And a special thank you to ODMA and O-SHOW for creating a space where women can connect, learn from one another, challenge the status quo and champion each other.

It was a powerful reminder that we don’t have to choose between ambition and wellbeing; we can build careers, businesses and teams that make room for both. 💫
