Lacey won my Mother’s Day giveaway back in May. When I shared to my stories who had won, I don’t think I’ve ever received so many messages saying, “There isn’t anyone more deserving.”

I then heard about her recent surrogacy journey and felt so grateful that I could give a small gift to a mum who had just given another mum the most precious gift of all.

The clients who get in touch because they genuinely love your work.

The ones who trust the location you suggest without second guessing it.

They don’t overthink it, they just show up as themselves.

Who spend the whole session laughing, cuddling, chasing their little one and soaking it all in.

These are the sessions I never stop looking forward to.

Not because they make my job easier, but because they remind me what family photos are actually about.

Getting to photograph this beautiful family for a second time was such a treat. Thank you for trusting me again to capture this season Bex. It truly never gets old 🫶

Just your Monday afternoon reminder…

You grew an entire human for over nine months.

Then you somehow found a strength you probably didn’t even know you had.

And now this tiny, sleepy, squishy newborn is only going to be this little for a matter of weeks.

You’ve spent months dreaming about meeting them. Don’t let this season become the one you wish you’d photographed.

Because one day you’ll miss the tiny stretches, the milk drunk naps, the wrinkly toes and the way they fit so perfectly in your arms.

Future you will be so glad you have these memories.

5. It documents the things your children are obsessed with right now.

6. It gives your children photos of their childhood, not just photos of themselves.

I hear you.

There will probably never be a time when life feels perfectly organised, everyone feels confident, and the stars align.
But your family is happening right now.

The messy, beautiful, ordinary moments that fill your days today will be the ones you miss the most one day.
