Hey Everyone!

Since I have never made a Driver Poster for Speedway I thought I should try my hand at making one. I used my favourite photo as a starting point and tried make a poster you would see Drivers signing and giving out to fans on race night.

What do you think of it? It's my first attempt and I had no design brief so I made it according to my taste, it's more flamboyant than the ones I have seen but I definitely would love to see this on my wall.

Lastly, are there any drivers you would like me to try next? I would love to make another so let me know who and I will give it a crack :) Ideally just comment on a photo of mine with the driver/car and I can use that image as a start point.

Well what can I say. I did it! I won award for the Speedway Photographer of the year! 🏆 Its still very hard to believe I won this massive honour but holding that trophy with my name on it definitely helps. To win this on my first season of shooting Speedway and motorsport in general blows my mind. I would not be here without Speedwaydownunder who got me into this great motorsport so massive thanks to them. Another thanks to Speedway New Zealand for giving me this honour. Thank you to my partner Margorie for being my helpful assistant and photo op spotter and lastly thanks to all of you! 😃 Everyone who followed my page and liked, commented and shared my photos and kept me motivated to hitting the track every meeting. I can't wait for the next season! 🏁📸

Finally back home after a week away in the Far North. While I was there I was lucky enough to attend the Percy Poharama Memorial at Taipa Speedway. Big thanks to Guptill Racing for allowing me to hang out with them in their pit area and teaching me more about Speedway. Heres a photo to tide you over until the whole set is ready. I had a little play and dolled it up more than regular photos because why not.

I am very proud and humbled to be selected as one of the 3 finalists for the Speedway Photographer of the Year Award held by Speedway New Zealand.

As many you may know it has been my first season covering the amazing motorsport of Speedway through a camera and to be selected from so many other talented photographers simply blows my mind.

Thank you to all my supporters that like the page and comment on my photos, every like and comment is appreciated.

Even if I come home third I will still be immensely proud of myself for getting this far and it will only fuel my love of photography more.

Big thanks to Speedwaydownunder for introducing me to what is surely going to be a lifelong passion.

Attention Speedway Fans: Incase you missed it on Speedwaydownunder, here is footage from last Saturdays meeting at Kihikihi Speedway showing the Sprint Car Feature. I'm still very new to recording these features so bare with me. Deciding what to record while the action is happening is always challenging. I could just focus on the leader but that would make for a very boring video. Any feedback on what you would like me to focus on is appreciated! Overall I'm pleased how the video shaped up, considering how inadequate the lighting was. I also have footage from the Pole Shuffle, Midget feature and photos in the pipeline so expect to see those in the near future. Thanks for reading :)

Hey everyone. In case you missed it on Speedwaydownunder, here is my latest blog post about covering the meeting at Waikaraka Speedway last Saturday. My first visit to Waikaraka park to capture some speedway photos. It proved to be quite challenging but I adapted and I believe I got some great shots.

After a lot of work, writing content, organizing photos and back and forth with my site builder, my website is finally complete and live! I'm very pleased how it came out and just a wee bit proud. All this couldn't have been possible without my wicked site builder Kyle. He took me through the whole process of acquiring a domain name and made it super easy. It was no way near as daunting or hard as I imagined it to be. After that he let his creativity flow and with an idea of what I wanted, he went ahead and built this amazing site for me. Not only did he build the site but also optimized it for Google and made it as functional as possible, with easy flow between PC, Tablet and Mobile. I cannot recommend him enough. What a night! Was a great way to end the season for Western Springs Speedway. We got to see some truly talented driving in all classes. However the frequency of crashing was definitely the worst I have seen at the Springs. My best wishes to all the drivers involved. Here's one of my favourites of a Sprintcar I haven't seen at the Springs this season. Now it's time to work on the whole set of photos. There's quite a few!
