Last weekend I did my usual local route on the Little River Trail - 94 km total. On the way back I got caught in some strong winds again, which is nothing new around here, especially in winter. And there were hardly any other cyclists around, one or two at most. Perfect timing ☺️

You’ve been talking to the same people online for years. Everyone moved away, everyone’s busy, but the chat never dies. Same jokes, same memes, same personalities.

Then one day you remember the dead internet theory and realize: how do you know these are even real people replying anymore?

AI can already imitate the way your friends talk, joke and react. At some point the difference between “your friend replied” and “their digital clone replied” becomes almost impossible to notice.

The creepiest part is that this transition probably won’t happen suddenly.
⠀
It’ll happen quietly.
⠀
And maybe it already did.
⠀

ИИ уже умеет копировать то, как твои друзья пишут, шутят и реагируют. В какой-то момент разница между «ответил твой друг» и «ответила его цифровая копия» станет почти незаметной.

И самое жуткое, что этот переход, скорее всего, не произойдёт резко.

Он произойдёт тихо.
⠀
И возможно уже произошёл.
