We’ve had some truly cool opportunities working with NFPs in and around Christchurch (like you guys!), and we’ve seen how teams pour everything into the communities they support. We’ve been inspired to help these amazing groups look as good as the work they do, and we’ve got just the ticket.

We’re hosting a Not-for-Profit Headshot Day at 921 Studios, and we’d love to have you and your team there!

What’s included in every session:
* 10-minute studio headshot session
* 2 professionally edited images (chosen on the day)
* Available as web + hi-res download

(Team photos available as an optional add-on)

Who’s eligible
This day is open to employees, volunteers, and board members (including school boards and governance groups!) or registered NFPs and charities. 

Pricing:
* $89 per person (normally $195pp)

Booking for 5 or more people from your organisation? Reach out and we can sort a 20% group discount.

Payment is easy too – individuals can pay at time of booking, or your organisation can book in bulk and we’ll send an invoice.

Thinking about getting started with video, but not sure where to begin? Maybe you’ve started dabbling already but would love some tips and tricks?

​We’re running a beginner-friendly Video 101 session designed to simplify the process, build confidence, and give you practical skills you can start using straight away.

Whether you’re a photographer wanting to branch into video, or someone completely new to filming, this session is designed to make video feel way less overwhelming

This session will include live demos, real-world examples, and opportunities to ask questions and test things out yourself. The goal isn’t to make it all more technical, it’s to help you understand what it actually means to capture good video, without needing a huge set up or years of experience.

Freelancing can often feel like a one-person show, so we’re opening the studio for an evening to connect with others who get it.

Join us at 921 Studios March 24th from 6pm, for a relaxed night of good conversation, drinks, and a few things on the BBQ. Come meet photographers, filmmakers, designers, content creators and other creative minds, swap stories from the field, and make a few new connections along the way.

We’re beyond excited to bring you the first event of the year at 921 Studios!

Join us for Lighting 101 with Craig — a relaxed, hands-on session designed to help you understand lighting.

This session is all about:

* Asking the questions you’ve always had (nothing too basic, nothing off-limits)
* Getting expert insight from Craig, without the jargon
* Having a proper play with equipment you might not usually reach for
* Learning how and why different lights work, in real-world scenarios
* Connecting with other creatives in a space built for collaboration

On Weds March 19 our Mastering Timecode workshop with Kevin will give you all the skills you need to sync multiple camera shots like a pro. On Thurs March 20 Simon will be hosting an AIPA talk challenging the traditional paradigms of perception in photography - “We trust our eyes too much”. More info and how to get tickets in our bio.

Join us for an engaging workshop on mastering timecode with . This workshop is designed to make your shoots and editing smoother than ever. We’ll cover the essentials: what timecode is, why it’s important, when to use it, and when not to. You’ll also get a practical walkthrough on syncing cameras and audio gear, plus how to display timecode on your camera via HDMI.

With a live sync demo of the Tadpole band set from Smoke Show ChCh 2024, you’ll see it in action!

We’ll also do a live sync exercise during the workshop (time permitting).
