🌟 Announcement 🌟
After an almost 6 year hiatus that felt like a century, I’m thrilled to announce I have come out of hibernation (along with my page) and am rekindling my passion and staging my return to the world of photography!
🌄 The Backstory: As you may remember, in 2018, I bid adieu to my beloved Nikon and embarked on a soul-searching expedition. I wandered through the wilderness of life, climbed metaphorical mountains, conquered my battle with the dark demon otherwise known as depression, spent 3 years farming and shepherding around the North Island then returned to my home city with my mothers declining health resulting in her having almost yearly hospital stays.
Life took me on unexpected journeys during these years, but the call of the lens has remained steadfast. The beauty of light, the dance of shadows, and the stories captured in each frame have always held a special place in my heart. While I’ve been away, I got my photography fix with my phone filling my camera roll with memories. But deep down, my heart yearned for the click of the shutter, and the thrill of capturing fleeting moments and no matter how much I wanted to believe, my phone will never keep up with an actual camera.
📸 The Reawakening: Fast-forward to today. After extensive research I’ve finally decided upon my next camera and my first since I sold off all my gear so from April/May onward, expect to see my lens exploring landscapes, candid moments, and the extraordinary in the ordinary on a part-time/hobby basis while I still decide whether I want to go full-time professional again.
🌟 Photography is more than pixels and shutter speeds; it’s a language that transcends words. It’s about seeing the world through a different lens, finding poetry in the mundane, and sharing emotions that resonate across borders.
