Following the recent devastating natural disaster in Sri Lanka, the Government of Sri Lanka has launched an appeal for urgent financial assistance from Sri Lankan expatriate communities and other donors.
We acknowledge the overwhelming and generous response received so far, and we humbly request that community organizations and expatriates continue their fund-raising efforts to support the extensive short-, medium-, and long-term relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction required in Sri Lanka.
New Official Donation Mechanism:
To facilitate easier and more direct contributions, the Government of Sri Lanka has authorized its Embassies, High Commissions, and Consulates General to collect funds through their official bank accounts. Community organizations and donors in New Zealand may now deposit their donations directly into the official bank account of the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Zealand:

Action Required: We kindly request that all donors follow these steps to ensure your contribution is properly recorded:
1. Reference: Indicate โDonationโ in the reference field of your bank transfer.
2. Confirmation: Email a screenshot of the bank transfer confirmation, including your name and contact number, to [email protected].
All contributions will be acknowledged with an official receipt and a Letter of Acknowledgement.
