Self portraits with my family are always a little chaotic, a little imperfect… and deeply important to me

They capture us exactly as we are right now — the giggles, the wobbles, the way little arms wrap tight and how quickly this season is already changing.

I know my future self will look back on these and be so grateful I stepped into the frame. Not for perfection, but for presence.

A gentle reminder that you don’t need to wait for the “right time” or the “perfect moment” — this is it.

In just 8 weeks the sun will be setting at 7.30pm again – and oh, the thought of those long golden evenings has me so excited. ✨ But until then, I can’t help but adore this season too… there’s something magical about the low-lying sun, crisp mornings, and snuggly layers that wrap you up in comfort.

We’ll be at South New Brighton Beach, where the dunes hold the light just a little longer and the sea hums softly in the background.
