WoolOn — another amazing year!

It’s so wonderful to see my photography featured in the local paper, showcasing yet another incredible year of WoolOn.

I absolutely love being the photographer for this event.

WoolOn is such a beautiful celebration of wool as a natural fibre — brought to life through creativity, incredible skill and imagination. It brings our community together to showcase our region, our people and the incredible talent we have right here in Central Otago.

Congratulations to Daphne and all the winners. And a huge congratulations to the amazing WoolOn committee, who work so hard behind the scenes to bring this event together. You have truly outdone yourselves this year.

It’s a privilege to capture it all through my lens.

Chilly morning at the markets ❄️ After clearing the window screen from a hard frost, I set off to find the mountains covered in snow as I drove into Gibston valley as the sun rose. Unloaded my stall, ready for the day. My feet have just defrosted as it warms up for a beautiful afternoon. ☀️

What a privilege it was to photograph the incredible joinery details at the newly completed renovation of Earnscleugh Castle for Joinery.

A four-year journey of passion and precision… carefully restoring vintage windows and doors, seamlessly blending new kitchens alongside original tables, and creating bespoke ladders and bookshelves that bring this historic space back to life.

I’ve driven past this castle for years, always curious about what was inside. To now step through its doors, explore every detail, and experience Marco and Ryan’s vision come to life — it’s something I feel incredibly grateful for.

Built in the 1920s, this remarkable building has stood as a symbol of ambition, resilience, and Central Otago history — now beautifully restored and ready for a new chapter.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this restoration. The history of this building has been honoured and will live on for generations to come.

Capturing the drama and beauty of Jess and Kirk's special day

Four seasons in one day couldn't dampen the love and joy of Jess and Kirk's wedding at Dansey Pass Hotel, nestled in the stunning Waitaki Valley. The sun shone bright, the rain poured down, and the thunder rumbled... but through it all, their love shone through.

The historic ruins provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony, surrounded by breathtaking views. And despite the hail, we had to warm up by the fire. But the best was yet to come - as we headed out for location shots, the sun burst through the clouds, revealing the stunning Mt Kyeburn landscape.

I'm so grateful to have captured the beauty and drama of their day. Wishing Jess and Kirk all the best for their future together - their love is truly breathtaking.
