The sky has been so incredibly red the last few nights, the clouds were out the gate with their line formations too. We have a tropical storm on the way in, gale force winds and some rain. Thinking of all the folk way up north, they are getting a hammering, red warnings issues, stay safe friends 🧡

Silently the summer sun slips behind the hills
tomorrow it will rise as the Autumn light

Hazy days where the scent of dust and hay hang in the air, the leaves shift and turn in golden flare

The light grows softer and the breeze stills
shadows stretch longer across the hills

Spiders stitch their silver thread
In quiet fields where summer fled

The swallows gather on the wire
The evenings carry a cooler fire

We harvest the summer bounty
And prepare for the darker winter night

Thank you sun for the warmth you gave
For golden fields and light that saved
I walk in peace through amber light
And watch you fade into the night.

Till tomorrow dear friend 🧡 🌾🍂

Have you noticed there is more light in the light these days?

I can not get over the rays of the sun captured on my phone..

We get a descent sunset at least once a week and occasionally it matches with a storm or funky clouds like this particular day a few weeks back.

Just look at the rainbow rays coming in on that light, so magical.

I have taken note as the months progress they are getting brighter, longer and more intense.

How are they in your neck of the woods?

Balclutha, a cute little town on Highway 1 between Dunedin and Invercargill. Its also a gateway to the beautiful south otago coastine.

Some days our clouds are super moody and this day I was also moody, and so my editing went for the dramatic..

Sometimes a dramatic photo can do wonders for your happiness 😆

Balclutha has a brand new community hall with a fancy movie theater. There are a few really great opportunity shops in town if that's your thing. Check out the god rays over the Salvation Army shop on the main street 🥰

Always fond of a sun shower, especially first thing in the morning.

The autumn air is somewhat cooled and humid after a rare hot day yesterday

Hardly a breath of wind, I opened the window wide to let in the autiminal scent. My house was flooded with the smell of fresh rain, damp earth, scented plants and a hint of mown grass.

The rain sounded loud on the roof, the drops were huge and felt warm when I put my hand under them. The sun shone through them making each one glisten like a priceless diamond as it fell.

The sun seemed happy with his early morning gift, golden rays reaching for us amongst the clouds.. highlighting every leaf and blade of flax, deepening the morning shaddows in a wonderful show of natures majesty.

Another day above ground and a new day full of potential, wishing you all the best day wherever you are 🫶🍂🌦

Hey their new friend👋
Welcome to my page where I share some of the magic moments I'm fortunate enough to experience.

First off I am not a professional photographer. This is a hobbie for me, It is one of my greatest joys to share the magic I see with others.
It's my way of spreading happiness and maybe a little interesting info too.

It is my hope for you that you find a little inspiration and connection with nature in a way you maybe hadn't noticed before.

I don't use anything fancy, all my photos are taken on my phone actually.
I love the way you can take a picture, edit it and upload it all from the same space.
I have it with me most of the time and so I get to capture and share those special moments we are sometimes too busy to see.

So truly blessed to live in New Zealand where pretty much every view is simply amazing. I grew up in the high country near Queenstown and now reside amongst the lush hills of South Otago.

Getting out and about exploring our good land and connecting with all there is in nature keeps me grounded and grateful, thanks for joining me on the journey.

Walking with me is not for folk on a mission.

If you like to walk in a hurry to get to your destination, then you're missing half of the fun.

Im usually way behind everyone else, distracted by that unique plant I'd not seen before, a pretty stone, a bumblebee, a bird or a cloud that looks like a flying Koala.

This beautiful beach walk was a happy accident. Stopping at a small pull in bay on a narrow dirt ,south coast road too stretch the legs turned into a mini adventure.

Once a path to the beach was navigated ( some lovely edible wild plants en route) we were rewarded with this amazing beach sporting the most magnificent sandstone cliff face I've ever seen. It even beats Gemstone beach.

How many faces, crazy patterns and animals can you see in the rocks? Not to mention there were fossils embedded in some of the stone there.

This place is not signposted and there is no formal track down to the beach, you need a map to find this hidden gem ( it is located on Google map)

If you plan to visit do be aware there can be seals on south coast beaches. While fun to observe they are not fun if you startle them and they decide to chase you.

A magicical lilly grows beside my healing sanctuary

An Arum lilly flower also grows on my grandmother's resting place on Taupiri mountain. I didn't know her in life but when I see this flower, I feel her and the ancestors there just as I did on the mountain.

It is said this flower represents the liminal space between worlds, the journey of spiritual transition and the cyclical nature of life.

The arum lily’s upright, vessel-like shape is sometimes intuitively read as a carrier of spirit following that spiral from the centre outwards representing the harmonious balance between opposites. Life and death, masculine and feminine and divine purity.

Its a very peaceful plant to sit with, observing her flower in depth is like a soul soothing meditation.. even in this photo it soothes.

I noticed similarity in its shape to the Egyptian symbol, the Eye of Hourus . Rotating the image to the side and overlaying the symbol shows the resemblance , how beautiful.

Magic in everything if you choose to see 👀
