Sunday evening the sky cleared for a beautiful family session at Waiarikiki Farm. We took a trip up to Debie's running location up in the hills overlooking Southland, here we got some amazing shots of the whole family. We even managed to get 7 dogs and one pony, not saying they all behaved but they enjoyed getting their photo taken. Hello Followers, its been a while for me not taking bookings. Let me explain: my family and I have been going through some challenges. My siblings and I have all tested positive for the stomach cancer gene (CDH1 gene mutation). CDH1 gene is a hereditary mutation. It's not cancer yet/could be (still need to do some more tests) but gives me a 70% chance of developing stomach cancer and 56% chance getting breast cancer. Not ideal.. I know.. but it's preventable (we hope) - only if there is no sign of cancer growth with the next tests. Screening for this type of cancer is difficult as it hides in the stomach walls. Meaning that risk reducing gastrectomy is currently the only option to manage risk for gastric cancer. My next step is having an endoscope, biopsy and a breast MRI, hopefully showing no signs of cancer then I will be next in line to have a gastrectomy like my older siblings (brother had his done 21st Sept, Sister due for hers 2nd Nov) . It almost is like I now have to put my life on hold to wait for surgery dates and more results.
I love being creative and taking on new exciting photoshoots, this is something I don’t want to miss out on. If you want a shoot before Christmas let me know ASAP and we can work something out. I have a window between 11th Nov-25th Nov during the day or later on in the evening.

I have been very absent over here on my photography page. Its been a few months since I have done a photoshoot.
Life update: we had to postpone our March wedding due to Covid, I now get to plan another wedding for 2021 (exciting times).
I still have been creating - I have been doing a lot of drawing, sewing, pom pom making and a whole lot of other creative crafts.

It has been a busy week here in Southland. We have been helping out with the floods on the ground, in the kitchen and on social media. I was able to take a few photos from the roadside to show the damage the floods created.
