I met a woman at this wedding who asked me what I thought the word of the wedding was. A question I’d never been asked, or really thought of before. Apparently, it is something she does on every wedding she attends. She said to think of one word to summarise the day after you’ve heard the vows, the speeches, and witnessed the way people interact with each other. We decided the word of the day was; tenderness.

So much careful consideration went into every detail and decision surrounding the day, and so much softness unfolded in all the interactions I saw. Here are a few tender moments from Rachel and Prashan’s day.

A moment for this man… and a moment for this lovely father & son moment too. You may remember my website contact form went down for a while last year, and I lost a number of jobs because of it. But this man here, the father of the groom, went over all his son’s potential photographers, and decided I would be best fit for the job. When he heard that I hadn’t replied, he gently suggested to just wait a while… and that there may have been something wrong with my email, and I’m so very grateful that he did. A lovely day shared with truly some of the most lovely people.
