Another year of celebrating breastfeeding 💛
For the third year, I had the privilege of bringing together a beautiful group of mothers and their babies to capture something that is so ordinary, and yet so incredibly significant.
Breastfeeding can hold so much.
The closeness. The comfort. The long nights. The quiet feeds. The distracted feeds. The feeds where little hands reach for your face. The seasons where it feels easy, and the ones where it asks everything of you.
And one day, without really knowing when, it will be the last time.
I think that’s why I love creating these images so much.
Not because breastfeeding is the only way we nurture our babies, or because every journey looks the same, but because for the mothers who are in this season, it deserves to be remembered.
Their little bodies curled into ours.
The way they look up at us.
The hands tucked into our clothes and wrapped around our fingers.
A chapter of motherhood that can feel endless while we’re in it, and somehow far too short once it’s gone.
To every mama who came along this year, thank you for trusting me with this.
And to all the mothers who have stood in front of my camera over the past three years for this project — what a beautiful little piece of history we are creating together.
