We spent the afternoon around Dunedin, letting the session move at a slower pace and creating portraits that felt considered, elegant, and true to them.

A post-wedding session gave them another chance to wear everything again, enjoy the moment properly, and create photographs without the pressure of the day itself.

Spending time with this family was such a nice reminder of why I love these sessions. 🫶🏼

What I liked most was how natural everything felt. No need to force too much, they were just enjoying the moment together. You could see it in the little laughs, the way they looked at each other, and the small moments in between.

That’s always my favourite part of family sessions. Not just the posed photos, but the real bits that show what the family actually feels like.

One of the best parts of doing this is seeing people come back.

A past client recently booked me again for an Autumn Mini Session, and that kind of trust means more than anything. It tells me the first experience stayed with them, not just the photos, but how it felt.

We kept things simple. A short walk, a few laughs, and moments that didn’t feel forced. Just documenting where they are now, in a different season. 🍂

Saying “I do” in front of Aoraki/Mount Cook is something else.

You can feel how big the moment is, not just because of the view, but because of what’s actually happening right in front of you. It’s one of those times where you know this isn’t just another shoot.

Out of all the places they could’ve chosen, this is where they started their forever. And I’m really proud to be trusted to capture something like that.
