Here is an interesting little article on Petapixel this morning.. Canva & Microsoft have announced that Affinity will come preloaded on Microsoft Surface computers.
This will be interesting as Affinity is a pretty darn good alternative to Adobe's range of products, but are FREE. I am a big fan of Affinity, i have been using Affinity Photo since V1 when it was a paid software.

Microsoft announced the Surface and Surface Pro laptops this week along with the note that they will all ship with Affinity pre-installed.

I just love what we do here at Southern Cameras... Just arrived in store on order for one of our customers. OM System M.Zuiko ED14-150mm f4-5.6 II lens for Micro 4/3. This a pretty neat little lens, and ideal for travellers who want to be able to take pics of everything from wide angle to medium telephoto lengths. The other neat thing is that it has IPX 1 standard Dust & Splashproof in a lightweight, compact form. This is definitely a great lens for the traveller..

I missed this a week or so ago, but the Eastman Kodak film roll out has continued, with Kodak announcing a range of films being released in large formats.. 4x5", 5x7" and 8x10" sheet films, plus a couple of 100ft rolls....

An interesting article posted today on Petapixel talking about batteries in flash units. It seems that most camera companies today do not recommend using Lithium batteries in their flash units, as the flash units, especially under heavy use can heat the batteries to a dangerous level making them hot to touch when removing, it also seems that Lithium batteries have a slower cycle time, aka the time between the flash discharging and recharging

Even in the cases where lithium isn't explicitly warned against, they’re not a good choice for a working photographer anyway.

hmmm Eastman Kodak have announced a bunch more films, the EktaPan B+W films, and Ektacolor Pro..
Both will be available in 35mm and 120 roll film.
Kodak have revived the Ektapan name, and is being released with box speeds of ISO 100, 400 and 3200. Ektapan 100 and 400 will be available in 35mm or 120, and the Ektapan 3200 only available in 35mm.
Ektacolor Pro, will be available in box speeds of ISO 160, 400 and 800, and from initial reports and test shots, it appears to be the legendary Portra being rebranded.
