There comes a point where you stop chasing trends, stop trying to edit like everyone else, and start creating work that actually feels like you.
For so long I found myself second-guessing every gallery, changing my editing, comparing my work to other photographers and wondering why it never felt quite right. I loved so many different styles that I ended up trying to fit into all of them instead of leaning into what I was naturally drawn to.
This styled shoot changed something for me.
As I sat down to edit these images, everything just felt right. The tones felt effortless, the emotion stood out, and for the first time in a long time I wasn’t editing to impress anyone else—I was editing in a way that made me genuinely excited about my own work.
I’ve realised that my heart is in creating imagery that feels timeless, refined and full of emotion. The kind of photographs that still feel beautiful decades from now. Less about perfection, more about connection. Less about following what’s popular, more about telling a story with intention.
Growth as a photographer isn’t just about better gear or learning new techniques. It’s about finding the confidence to trust your own eye.
I’m so excited for what’s ahead and I genuinely can’t wait to photograph more love stories with this vision in mind.
