What an honour! So stoked to have been part of this.

Stunning shafts of light pierce through the canopy on the Haratimata Track in Waikato, New Zealand. This track is noteworthy for its hundreds of steps to reach the ridge and then hundreds more to reach Cascade Falls. The track links with others and can be turned into two further loops - one about 6km longer than the other. I will save those for another day. Great views from the Summit viewing platform above Ngāruawāhia with the Waikato River sending it's way north from Lake Taupo. The forest here is thick with rare podocarp varieties and ancient Kauri. A great punctuation in my working week as a subbie teacher and a great leg sufferfest.
