What I most love about the organisation of volunteers behind the East Coast Museum of Technology is the humble unity that surrounds the responsibility involved in taking care of our history. Last night marked the premier of our short film entry “Shining Relics” into the “2Minutes of Good stuff” short film competition on behalf of the volunteers of The East Coast Museum of Technology screened at the Lawson Field Theater here in Gisborne; where to our suprise we were fortunate to take out 1st place for best short film in the judges award for “best film”, then “people’s choice award for best film” from voters in the audience. To everybody involved in this production I give my deepest of thank you’s for participating and giving it your all and may this film be a portrayal of the love and passion it takes to carry out such a volunteering role as this one. We’re so privileged to have been able to work along side these professionals to produce this educational video series here on preparation for when adventuring out into the NZ bush!

Working with Keelan and Josh James on this ep was a blast! And after some detailed editing work on this production - we’re so pleased to catch up with The Bush Kura in episode #3! - learning the pro techniques on building bush shelters when tramping through the wild.

We’re very proud of this latest production series we were fortunate enough to be a part of and produce for The Bush Kura with initiatives in helping educate young rangatahi to develop survival skills for out in the Ngahere -to be safe and prepared for anything!
