She’s back.
Gazing at this night sky perched on frozen ground, just my camera and me in the mountains of a favorite place was the most fitting way to recognize the completion of yet another milestone. After two and a half long years of compromising weekends and time spent in nature, being a lackluster friend and partner, and almost driving myself insane on a few occasions, I’ve finally completed the coursework of my Master of Parks Management degree.
Although I chose to embark on this challenge and I have so many to thank, including my employer for support, I would not recommend taking on a master’s while working, planning a wedding and buying a house, just in case anyone was wondering!
Many times I felt like a caged thing of energy and passion, not able to express my creative streak through photography or my endurance desires through the effort I had become so accustomed to. I now look forward to turning the page on that and writing whatever I want in a fresh, spacious section. Onward!
