Chimbu skeleton tribe members move eerily through the dark forest, Papua New Guinea.

Whilst the historic use of this body paint was linked to warfare and fear tactics, today the skeleton tribe adornes themselves this way as a tribute to the history of their culture. It is now practiced as a welcomed non threatening connection with their past ancestors.

We hadn't been back to PNG since covid and it certainly didn't dissapoint.

When exploring the remote corners it is truly a land paused in time 🙌🙏❤️

So many fantastic experiences and amazing welcoming people.
