Currently going through old work to put together a showreel due to a looming redundancy and stumbled across this, my grandfather who taught me to play pool at the age of 5 (maybe earlier?).. bought up with a pretty humble upbringing, unable to speak English (his parents were Swiss immigrants), he was punished and forced to learn and speak English - he reverted to speaking a lot more Swiss in his final few years.
I learnt a lot from grandad, he and my grandmother raised 10 children in pretty tough economical times, and it reminds me that even though times may get tough, there’s still a fulfilling life with the right attitude and enjoying the simple things. Miss these days - and for the record, he won like he usually did!

Shout out to for my sweet custom made clip on/clip off camera strap! Makes going from stills to video mode a breeze, perfect for the hybrid video/stills shooters! He also does a good wrist strap and double body harness which I’ve also got! (Not getting any kick backs for this post btw, just stoked on good quality gear made by a GC!)
