A little whisky, a wild landscape, and the kind of love that feels like a scene from a film. 🥃

A Scottish twist on a Port Hills engagement session — windswept grass, moody skies, quiet moments and a little whisky shared between two people very much in love.

Nothing too posed. Nothing too perfect. Just the two of them, the landscape, and a story worth remembering.

There’s something about a black and white wedding photograph that just hits differently.

Without the distraction of colour, you notice the emotion, the movement, the little details and the moments in between. A glance across the room. The way someone holds their partner. The chaos of the dance floor. A quiet moment before the ceremony.

Black and white images have a timeless quality that makes them feel less tied to a particular season or trend — they become photographs you can look back on years from now and still feel exactly the same moment.

I love using them throughout a wedding gallery alongside colour images. The contrast gives the story a little more depth, and sometimes the simplest frame becomes one of the photographs you treasure most. 🖤

Six weeks in the making… and finally, the weather played along. 🤍

After postponing and waiting for the right conditions, the stars (and clouds) finally aligned for this surprise proposal at Lake Clearwater.

Snow-covered mountains, a beautiful lake, and one very big question.

Worth the wait? I think so. 🥹🏔️💍

Hi, its me… its been a minute since I’ve done one of these posts and put my face on here, so here it is a little get to know your photographer.

1. I hate having my photo taken… but I feel that this puts me in a unique position where I totally understand how you and your partner feel and so I am very good at making you feel at ease and can make having your photo taken fun…

2. I’ve been a wedding photographer for 8 years, I’ve honestly lost count of how many beautiful weddings I’ve captured, but its a lot ✨

3. Coffee ☕️always

4. I love winter.. snow capped mountains with blue sky days ❄️

5. I will always get over excited if the light is perfect and everything is just right 🌅

6. Canon… I love my 28-70mm lens even though it weighs about as much as a 2 slice toaster 🍞 (google told me)

I still have some limited availablity for summer 26-27 and have opened my books for 2028, I’d love to hear your plans

t’s time to think about your engagement shoot ✨

If you’re getting married next summer, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your engagement photos.

Engagement shoots are a beautiful chance to celebrate this season of your relationship, get comfortable in front of the camera and create some gorgeous images of the two of you before the wedding day arrives.

And honestly? They’re also a great excuse to get dressed up, head somewhere beautiful and spend a little time together.

I recommend booking your engagement shoot a few months before the wedding, especially if you’d like to use the images for your invitations, save-the-dates or wedding website.
