Good for the Mind and Body 🌳 Exciting walk with Dash , he done a great job leading me into two Stags. Unfortunately there was no clear shot today and they got away. Best part was being off farm and in the zone with my wee mate. Topped off by getting the .243 in the bush for the first time in over 25years. Bring on more of this ..

What do the possum skins get used for ? Stunning little hand made teddy bears 🧸
And so much more. Hot water bottle covers, seatbelt covers, hats , gloves, sock and slippers! It’s amazing how soft the fur is and rewarding to see clients make such unique products.

Rewards from Sundays Hunt 🦌 🐗 🏔️
Great to get away with my Cousins for a night at the hut and a day harvest some animals. Was plenty to pick from ! We made the most of it and will be into some cooking in no time. Very lucky to have these sorts of opportunities on our back door step. Looking forward to doing it all again oneday soon.
Now the real work begins.. processing the meat 🥩

Trapping Season 2026 🐵
Winter felt like it was here this week and it was a good insensitive to set some traps. Over the next few months I’ll be working hard to catch these pests. It’s a rewarding job doing our part for the environment with the opportunity to get the kids outdoors and earn some money on the side. Bring it on !

Duck, Bacon, Venison and Beef 🥧.. delicious family meal for our Birthday Girl ! Fresh Duck we harvested together, Fresh Venison we also harvested together , Home kill Angus Beef and some trusty bacon from the butcher. Mixed with some beef stock and fresh herbs from our garden. Rosemary, Parsley and Mint. Finely chopped and all slow cooked for 8hrs.
