Yeah I am still about :)
I had a call a couple of weeks ago....
"Hey, I am getting engaged in a few hours. Wanna come to Woodlands?"
Yeah.

For '2 hours planning' I suspect this young man certainly put a hell of allot of thought into making it special for his lady.
Under the guise of looking for the cattle with a drone, he had carved the magic words into hillside. “Will you marry me?”
Tussock, wild turnips, cattle and a woolshed.
Throw in an odd Scotch thistle. You have a real southern mans engagement shoot.
Good on you mate. I wish you all the luck for the future.

With a heavy heart, I have had to make a really tough decision.
I can no longer make plans 12 months out.

My deteriorating health has clouded my future.
Next week will be the same as this week, but I cannot make plans a year in advance.
A wedding is a responsibility I have never taken lightly.
I could never jeopardise a lifetime of memories.
So I can no longer take bookings long term.

I will still take enquires on a case by case basis.
Short term 'last minute' bookings will be still considered, as well as team, family and portrait assignments.

But for now, 'next season' stuff is well out of my reach.

Thank you for your understanding.
I still cling onto my dream and plan to be more pro active in communication and projects.
Only time will tell.

A big shout out to everyone who has put their faith in me to record one of their biggest days of their lives this 2018/19 season.
I have spent time with some really amazing and brilliant people.
Their love and laughter has shone through the stress that the crazy day of a wedding brings.
It has resulted in one of my busiest seasons for awhile.
The shear diversity of ethos I encounter is bewildering.
You are all unique. You all have your own story to tell.

All too often I get tied up with technical geekery, and I do not appreciate the big picture.
You have all reminded me how significant the day is.
I have spent a hell of allot of time editing.
I am getting behind again.
Every time I want to pull my hair out or take a short cut.
I remember this.
I owe you big time.
I am looking at a woman who has quite possibly been dreaming and planning this day ever since she was a little girl.
It is every girls dream.

Its not just about me being the best I can be, it is a very special moment in many peoples lives.

I sincerely hope I have done your dreams justice, and your love and laughter continues, and the pictures on your wall will forever put a smile on your face.

And yeah…………….
I still have a s**t load of work to do lol

It is always nice to be allowed to post previews.
I dont expect (or demand) copyright, I value your privacy over my self promotion. Your day, your images.
Although it does mean a mammoth effort on a Sunday to sort and edit a selection of images, it is well worth the effort.
I am honoured to present to you a brief overview of Vinnies and Pania Robertson 's very special day.
Thank you guys, it was a joy to spend the day with you.

Wow. What an amazing start to the season.
Brilliant weather. Brilliant people.
The sun certainly come out to play Saturday, although it makes Mr photographers' job harder it does make for an enjoyable day.
Juanita and Jamie you and your crew make my job so easy.
Not often I meet people so relaxed and confident in front of a camera. That is a strength you all can be proud of.
May the love, laughter (and craziness) last for many many years to come.

The future of greyhound racing in New Zealand is in safe hands. One of the newest licensed handlers Arlica.
Way to go girl, congratulations on your achievement and to your bright future.

I have to say it has been a lil quiet for me these winter months. I have a few projects ticking away nicely in the background, and wedding season is looming fast.

It was truly a pleasant and relaxed day.
The weather behaved itself, not one time pressure and a great bunch of people.
I cant think of one thing that could have been done better :)

A cracker start to the 2017/2018 wedding season, and an amazing way to round out the year.
I have to admit it was a leap of faith in my own ability when I agreed to try these shots. Sparkler exits are big internationally, but not seen often here in New Zealand.
I guess you have to have the right photographer :)
Many more previews to come, I will try to have them up by the weekend.
