Bushmansfriend

Bushmansfriend New Zealand native plant books by author & photographer Tony Foster. Bushmansfriend was founded by Tony Foster in 2005.

Tony was a keen botanist, who wrote about and photographed New Zealand native plants. Tony (the Bushmanfriend) had a particular interest in the diversity seen within the Whangaroa bush, which saw him write Plant Heritage New Zealand and an Illustrated Glossary of Botanical Terms. Tony passed away in 2016 and his books remain available for purchase for those with an interest in New Zealand's plant

heritage or those who wish to gain a practical understanding of the botanical terms used to describe and identify plants.
