Iâm not expecting your kid(s) to sit still and smile perfectly at the camera when they come in. Quite the opposite actually đĽ°
Thatâs usually the part parents stress about most but it's not really about that for me - I think it's about getting their little personalities as they are. And when you come into my studio my main focus will usually be on them, to get them at ease and to realise I'm not scary and for them to see it's a safe space and that we can be silly and have fun in here.
One of my favourite challenges in the studio is getting your little people comfortable enough to actually have fun.
Itâs not instant.
Sometimes they come in shy.
Sometimes theyâre overwhelmed. Sometimes they cry or only want mum and that's cool too.
Sometimes theyâre absolutely feral from the second they walk through the door đ
However you come is good in my books, I'm not the dude that's going to get the artistic 'classic' style portraits - I'll definitely try get a few standy portraits while you're in but I'm more about having fun and making some memories while you're in.
Thatâs my sweet spot!
Not perfect behaviour.
Not perfect posing.
Just you being relaxed and your little humans being exactly who they are â¨
