What gets shared is your choice. Always. 🤍

Social media is such a normal part of life these days, but I also know that not everyone wants their family, and especially their children, shared online.

And I completely respect that.

I’ll never share images from your session without your permission. Whether you’re happy for me to share everything, just a few carefully chosen photographs, or you’d rather keep your gallery completely private, that choice is always yours.

Of course, I absolutely love being able to share the beautiful families I photograph. Sharing my work is a huge part of how new families find me and get a feel for what I do. But as much as I appreciate being given that permission, your family’s privacy will always come first. 🤍

And keeping your children offline doesn’t mean you can’t have photographs from your session that you feel comfortable sharing too. I love finding little ways to capture your family where their identity is naturally hidden, while still creating an image that feels beautiful, connected and completely you.

There are so many ways to tell the story of your family without needing to show every face.

Because these are your family’s memories and your story, and you’ll always get to decide how much of that story is shared with the world. 🤍

Some families become so much more than clients. 🤍

I've been lucky enough to document this beautiful family's story for the past few years, and it all began with the incredible privilege of documenting the birth of their second baby (and later, their third too 🥹).

Since then I've watched their family grow, personalities blossom, and somehow those tiny babies have become these adventurous, fun little humans.

Vic is an incredibly talented celebrant, and as a fellow business owner and mums of three, it's always so nice to catch up. Between running businesses, raising families, and trying to soak up every season as it comes, it always feels like we're on the same wavelength.

Every session is full of laughter and feels more like catching up with friends than work.

I never take for granted that families choose me to document these chapters of their lives, and being invited back year after year is one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive. Thank you for trusting me with your story. 🤍

Some photographs carry a little extra meaning.

There's something incredibly special about photographing the people you've known long before they became parents. I feel incredibly lucky to step behind the camera for someone who already holds a special place in my life. Getting to preserve this season of their lives is a privilege I'll never take for granted.

When one of my closest friends from high school was visiting from Auckland a few weeks ago, we escaped to the Port Hills for an evening spent chasing the sunset and documenting this beautiful season before they become parents.

Soon, they'll be trading baby kicks for tiny fingers wrapped around theirs, and all of the waiting will become the most incredible new beginning.

These photographs are more than memories of a baby bump. They're the beginning of a family's story, and I feel so grateful I could help preserve it. 🤍

Not every session comes with blue skies...

But that's never stopped us from creating something beautiful.

Overcast days have their own kind of magic, the soft light, muted tones, and the way they let the people in the photographs shine.

Not every session can wait for perfect weather, and that's okay.

Because sometimes the magic is already there... you just have to stop looking for the sunshine.

There's something incredibly special about being invited back into a family's story, year after year. 🤍

I've had the privilege of photographing the Salt family since their middle child was just a tiny newborn.

Watching families grow and change in front of my lens is one of the greatest joys of my career. Watching little personalities bloom. Watching new dynamics unfold. Watching the love between them deepen a little more with every single session.

These photos have never just been images to me — they're pieces of a family's story, frozen in time and held a little closer because of how long I've gotten to be part of it. To be trusted with that, again and again, is something I'll never take for granted. 🤍✨

Autumn will always have my heart 🍂🤎
