Red Matters Project Red Matters Project Portraits of Redheads, changing perceptions of people with red hair. Let's make a change.

As a very visual and sensitive child & adult, I have always been fascinated by people with Red hair, the vivid colour, the golden lights, paired with porcelain skin and fascinating coloured eyes have held me captive. I also discovered sadly, having red hair, is not a blessing for some but rather a curse, and the source of terrible bullying. Now as a photographer & artist, I want to help break the

terrible stigmas attached to being a Red head and lighten the lives of Red heads if only just a little. This page is the beginning of a series of beautiful books and stories with stunning photographs of redheads, showing beauty & bravery, opening people's eyes to make them see that a hair colour does not a person make, and the bullying needs to stop, it really is time to move on .

This old building is situated in Huntly, not far from Hamilton and Auckland.
The owner has been kind enough to give me access for one day only.
