Really pleased to receive two Finalist Awards for the Landscape category and a Top 15 Award for the Urban category of the 2026 Landscape Awards.

With over 2,300 entries into the competition this year I am very happy with these results.

Looking forward to seeing my work printed in the June / July issue of Australian Photography Magazine alongside the spectacular images of many talented photographers.

Congratulations to all category winners and thanks to all of the judges and Australian Photography Magazine.

Utilising jetties or boardwalks in landscape photography as leading lines can help to draw the viewer's eye into the frame, create a strong sense of depth, and guide attention directly to a focal point - such as a sunrise on the horizon.

Stripped of colour, the raw drama of magnificent Wharariki Beach comes alive.

Tucked away at the rugged northern tip of New Zealand's South Island, this remote stretch of coast is a photographer's dream. Without colour to distract, you can really focus on the textures, the windswept dunes, the roaring Tasman Sea, the reflections, and the iconic Archway Islands carved by the elements.

Here, the moody, high contrast black and white tones amplify the untamed beauty of Aotearoa's coastline.

This is undoubtedly one of my favourite photography destinations and a place I hope to return to sometime soon…

Historic huts and old abandoned buildings often provide an interesting focal point in landscape images and help to provide both context and intrigue.

The Quiet Beauty of Tara Fishing Village, Japan 🇯🇵

In serene black and white tones, the fishing village of Tara in Saga Prefecture reveals its soul.

Traditional wooden fishing huts stand humbly along the shores of the Ariake Sea, weathered by generations of salt air and wind, while rows of aquaculture poles stretch elegantly into the calm waters like silent guardians of the harvest.

These monochrome images capture a Japan that feels both ancient and eternal - where the rhythm of the tide still dictates the days and simplicity holds a quiet power.

Have you ever visited a place that feels frozen in time like this?
