Previous images that Heather and I posted from Alpe di Siusi had wonderful evening light illuminating the mountains. But as it is known for being a morning location, for photography, we of course trudged up the hill again the following morning, before sunrise. The clear, featureless sky was a warning that we were not going to be lucky twice. Sure enough, as soon as the sun peaked above the mountains, straight into our lenses, the glare made capturing anything interesting impossible. Or so I thought. Time has lessened the disappointment from that morning and I have now re-visited the images with a different mindset. The photos may not be as dramatic as our evening shots, but they are still a nice reminder of our visit to a wonderful location.
