A hidden gem in Wakefield (Tasman) ✨

Recently I had the chance to photograph a styled wedding at Willow Bank Heritage Village. It's beautifully restored heritage setting full of charm, and peaceful countryside vibes 🌿🏡

The venue is packed with personality, from a restored church and antique clothing dress-up store, to a tiny cinema, burger stall, old printing press, and even a butterfly garden 🦋

This shoot was a collaboration to showcase what’s possible at this unique new venue, and honestly, it’s a fab option if you’re after something a little different and more relaxed (without the big venue price tag).

I’ll be working closely with the team here moving forward, so if you’re considering Willow Bank for your day, feel free to reach out and I’d be happy to chat through ideas 📸

St Paddy’s weekend at Sprig + Fern The Meadows went off 🍀🍻
Paddy’s K**b (Keith Nolan Music) on the tunes, a bit of dancing (Irish Jig attempt..!), plenty of singing, and a solid effort from the Lions Club Richmond Tasman NZ with the raffle 🙌

Couple of pints of the limited Irish Red Ale may or may not have been involved… cheerssss

Good people, good cause, good times.

This was worth staying up for. We had a lunar eclipse tonight with perfect visibility!

This is a cropped image from my 200mm lens, and if anything, now I want a bigger lens so I can photograph it even better, when it comes around again in 2028 😆

A cracking day in Tasman ☀️
From the briefing at McCashin's Tap Room to launches at Inwood Lookout in the Gordon Range, pilots were taking full advantage of the conditions and getting high early ahead of race day.

So good to see plenty of people and blue skies all round 🪂

Take off!

Sorting lines, checking gear, untangling what feels like hundreds of cables, and getting wings laid out and ready.

This is the stage where everything slows down, and wait for the air to throw up the wing.

Next up: taking to the skies.

NZ Paragliding Nationals 2026 | Part 1 of 3 🪂

The build-up.

Morning briefings concluded you could get up in the air from around 11:30am.

This was the final flying day of the NZ Paragliding Nationals 2026, with pilots from Alaska, Germany and all over the world getting ready to race from the Gordon Range out toward Rainbow Valley. A mix of focus, excitement and nerves as everyone waited to see what the day would bring.

More to come soon. This is just the beginning.

What a night at Red16 Open Mic 🎤
Gotta be the place to be for Thursday evenings the place was bouncing!

So good seeing locals, backpackers and musicians all sharing the space and the tunes.

First proper event shoot for me in a while and it took me straight back to my nightclub photography days (sup cathouse??) 😅

Sherwin & Pumi flew over from Melbourne to tie the knot in beautiful Queenstown ✈️💍 .... and honestly, they couldn’t have picked a better day. After months of grey, the clouds finally lifted and we were treated to perfect blue skies over Lake Wakatipu ☀️

These two were so laid back they wrote their vows the day before, sitting on a quiet park bench overlooking the lake 🌿📝magic!

We wandered the Queenstown Gardens for portraits 🌸📸, and then had the most unreal moment: a local legend named Bill invited us into his garden for photos. He cracked a beer 🍺, sat back, and the TSS Earnslaw sailed behind at just the right moment 🚢✨ Massive thanks to Bill and his wife Kaye for the hospitality - absolute gems.

The night wrapped up at The Rees Hotel with some epic dancefloor energy 💃🕺 right until the final song. What a day. ✨

A hidden gem near Cable Bay ✨

I recently photographed this beautiful adobe home set in native bush. Stunning views out over Pepin Island over a morning cuppa!

Having spent time here WOOFing (and caring for a few chooks!), it was awesome to come back and capture it for Airbnb.😎
